Wireless Charging Furniture

Some items like cars, smartwatches, smart homes, and more get some of their appeal because they're able to integrate with and support other systems while seeming futuristic. This team wanted to pursue this concept by designing furniture that integrated wireless charging. Ideally, any cellphone, smartwatch, headphones, and any other devices that support wireless charging would begin to charge as soon as a user sat down or placed their device in a pocket or armrest. This team interviewed students and potential users on Texas A&M's campus to determine what users truly cared about and what problems they faced. This resulted in a working prototype before the team discontinued this project.
